I've been thinking a lot about societies conventions regarding the nobility of self sacrifice. Yesterday during lunch I overheard a woman proudly and feverously proclaim that sacrificing oneself for their family is the greatest, most noble achievement anyone could ever accomplish. Over the weekend I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Desert Rocks music festival just outside of Moab, UT. Thundershowers had been forecast for most of the weekend which proved to be accurate for Friday and Saturday. Saturday’s weather was a miracle to behold.
